Our many programs and shows are coordinated by committees, most of which are comprised of just one member.  If you would like to help in a certain area, make a suggestion, or ask a question, the list below is designed to give you a good idea of who to talk to. Completing a member survey and sending it to the president or bringing it to a meeting is a good way of letting the club know what areas of the club you’d like to be involved in. ”When in doubt, ask the President, Mark DeVol, who appoints all committee chairs.

Budget Committee - Winston Woolverton, chair - Responsible for auditing the clubs books annually and establishing a budget for the club.

Christmas Party Committee -Jennifer DeVol, chairman - Makes arrangements for our annual Christmas party.

Club Historian - Charlotte Borghardt - Holder of all of GSVKC's old secrets.

Community Activities Committee - Renee Politi, chairman - Coordinates nursing home pet visits, parade participation, and another community activities the club participates in.

Education Committee - Jan Bauer, chairman - Encourages responsible pet ownership in young people by providing educational material to local teachers, library programs, etc.

Legislation Committee - Janet Van Wormer, chairman - Reports to the membership on all pending dog-related legislation.

Match Committee - Mark & Jennifer DeVol , chairmen - Coordinates and plans GSVKC's annual spring Match.

Canine Good Citizen Chairman - Kathy Zmudzinski - Coordinates and plans GSVKC's annual Canine Good Citizen Test.

Membership Committee -  Mary Bailey , chairman - Keeps track of the status of all members - who attended meetings - latest address/email/phone information, etc.

Newsletter Committee - Ruthann McCaulley, editor.  Edits and publishes our monthly email/snail-mail newsletter.

Program Committee - Melissa Barwick, chairman - Responsible for coordinating informative programs for our general meetings.

Pure Breed Rescue Committee - Kathy Zmudzinski, chairman- Manages the GSVKC Purebred Rescue program.

Scholarship Committee - Linda Tanner, chairman - Notifies local area schools about our scholarship program and collects applications.  Traditionally the current Vice-President chairs this committee.

Spaying/Neutering Program Committee - Kathy Zmudzinski , chairman - Manages the GSVKC Spaying/Neutering program.

Website Chairs - Jennifer DeVol and Dee Hartnek - Webmasters for the GSVKC web site.

Show Chairman - Charlotte Borghardt - Responsible for coordinating our All Breed Dog Shows and Obedience Trials, Primarily responsible for the November show.

Spring Show Chairman - Stacy Speer - Concentrates on coordinating the Spring show.

Obedience Chairman/Rally Chairman - Ruthann McCaulley - Manages the obedience rings and obedience stewards at both our November and May shows.

Trophy Chairman - Dee Hartnek - Arranges trophies for the May and November shows.

Show Hospitality Chairman - Mary Woolverton - Handles ringside hospitality for the judges during the show.

Grounds Chairman - Winston Woolverton - Responsible for setup of show grounds.

Vendor Chairman - Winston Woolverton - Coordinates with show vendors.

Parking Chairman - Kathy Zmudzinski - Coordinates exhibitor parking at the spring show.

Advertising Chairman - Renee Politi - Handles show catalog advertising.

Publicity Chairman - Renee Politi - Handles club publicity.

Chief Ring Steward - Stacy Speer - Arranges ring stewards for our shows.

Three GSVKC members and two alternates act as our representatives to the Coyote Classic, which manages the grounds, vendors, and parking for November show at the Pima County Fairgrounds. Our current delegates are: Winston Woolverton, Charlotte Borghardt, and Hank Hartnek.
